What is True Up?
True Up is a movement dedicated to elevating the voices of young people who have experienced foster care to advocate for systems reform. We are working to ensure that all young people in foster care can successfully transition to self-sufficiency and independence.
Founded in 2011, True Up drives efforts to improve Kentucky’s foster care system.
Our community is made up of foster care alumni who have navigated challenges in education, employment, and mental health. Having successfully overcome these hurdles, they now use their experience to support, mentor and advocate for the next generation.
